Letter to Birth Mother

Hello,

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know our family a little better. Here's a little glimpse into our lives: 

Tom was born in Washington State, but his family moved a few times while he was younger.  He returned to Washington and finished out high school and college.  Shelley was born and raised in Washington State.  She’s the youngest of five children with plenty of nieces and nephews.  We met in high school and became good friends, until the day Tom mustered up the courage to make his big move.  We were married in 2002, and moved to Maryland for Tom to attend medical school.  During our time in Maryland, we were blessed with our two older boys, Carter and Mason, who are 19 months apart in age. The military has taken us to exciting places including: Maryland, California, Florida, and North Carolina.  The highlight of our North Carolina stay was the birth of our third son, Roman.  Currently, we are living back in Maryland where Tom is completing his Anesthesia Residency program.

 Shelley’s thoughts about Tom

 Tom is the best dad. He is interested in our kids’ lives and knows them each personally. The boys can’t wait for dad to get home from work so they can play games, read books or wrestle before bed. He truly is an amazing father.  He works very hard at his job, but when it’s time to come home he gives us his full attention. He’s smart, funny, dependable and generous. He would do anything for his family. He makes me a better person and is my best friend. I am the luckiest girl in the world to have him as my husband and the father of my children.

 Tom’s thoughts about Shelley

 Shelley is such a wonderful wife and mother.  Everyday I am amazed by how much she loves and cares for our family.  She always puts her family first over her own needs.  She is my daily support, and she is always there to provide encouragement to me in all my endeavors.  The boys adore their mom, and she shows her love for them by playing with them, reading them stories, and being there for them whenever they need her.  She has dedicated her life to making our home happy, and I see the fruits of her efforts daily.  I couldn’t have asked for a more selfless person for whom to share my life and the responsibility of raising our children.  

We have been blessed with three healthy beautiful boys, and would be ecstatic to add a little girl to our family for us to cherish and love.  We know the decision that you are facing is tough, and we pray that whatever choice you make will be the best for you and your baby.  We can promise you that your child will be taken care of and loved unconditionally.  We wish you success in your search for the right family.
